Getting Started

Install KineticHub PRO

Download KineticHub PRO from your Freemius account, install the premium plugin package in WordPress, and confirm that the PRO version is active.

Before you begin

You need:

  • Administrator access to your WordPress website
  • An active KineticHub PRO purchase
  • The KineticHub PRO ZIP file downloaded from Freemius

KineticHub PRO is the complete premium version of the plugin. You do not need to keep KineticHub Free active alongside it.

Before installing the PRO package, create a recent website backup if you are working on a live production site.

Download KineticHub PRO

After purchasing KineticHub PRO, sign in to the Freemius Customer Portal:

customers.freemius.com

Open your KineticHub purchase and download the latest available plugin version.

The downloaded file name will look similar to:

kinetichub-premium.1.0.5.zip

The version number may be different when a newer release is available.

Do not extract the ZIP file. WordPress requires the original ZIP package during installation.

Prepare your WordPress website

If KineticHub Free is currently active:

  1. Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins
  2. Locate KineticHub – Animated Blocks
  3. Select Deactivate

Do not remove any KineticHub blocks from your pages.

Deactivating the Free plugin does not delete the blocks or content already saved in WordPress. The PRO package registers the same KineticHub blocks and restores them when activated.

You can remove the Free plugin package after confirming that KineticHub PRO is installed and working correctly.

Upload the KineticHub PRO package

1. Open the plugin uploader

From your WordPress dashboard, go to:

Plugins → Add New Plugin

Select Upload Plugin at the top of the page.

2. Select the PRO ZIP file

Select Choose File and locate the KineticHub PRO ZIP file that you downloaded from Freemius.

Do not upload an extracted folder or an individual PHP file.

3. Install the plugin

Select Install Now.

WordPress will upload and install the KineticHub PRO package. The upload may take a few moments depending on your hosting connection and file upload limits.

4. Activate KineticHub PRO

When the installation completes, select:

Activate Plugin

KineticHub PRO will now appear in the WordPress Plugins screen.

Verify the installation

Go to:

Plugins → Installed Plugins

Confirm that the premium KineticHub plugin is active.

Next, open a page in the WordPress block editor and insert a KineticHub block.

Check the block settings in the right editor sidebar. The additional PRO controls should become available after the premium plugin and license are both active.

You can also open the KineticHub dashboard from the WordPress admin menu and confirm that the installed version is the premium package.

Remove the Free package

After confirming that KineticHub PRO is active and your existing pages work correctly, you can delete the inactive Free plugin package.

Go to:

Plugins → Installed Plugins

Locate the inactive KineticHub Free plugin and select Delete.

Deleting the inactive Free plugin package does not remove the KineticHub blocks already stored in your pages.

Do not leave both the Free and PRO packages active at the same time.

Troubleshooting

WordPress says the uploaded file is too large

Your hosting account may have a PHP upload limit lower than the size of the KineticHub PRO ZIP file.

Ask your hosting provider to increase:

  • upload_max_filesize
  • post_max_size

A limit of at least 16 MB is recommended for installing the current PRO package.

You can also install the plugin using your hosting File Manager or SFTP if dashboard uploads are restricted.

The PRO plugin cannot be activated

Confirm that KineticHub Free is deactivated before activating the PRO package.

If both versions are active or partially activated, deactivate the Free version and try activating KineticHub PRO again.

Existing KineticHub blocks appear unavailable

Confirm that the PRO plugin is active under:

Plugins → Installed Plugins

Then reload the WordPress editor and clear any site, browser, or optimization-plugin caches.

The content saved inside your existing KineticHub blocks is not removed when switching from Free to PRO.

PRO controls are not visible

Installing the premium package and activating the license are separate steps.

First confirm that KineticHub PRO is active. Then continue to the license activation guide.

The download link has expired or is unavailable

Sign in to the Freemius Customer Portal and download the latest package from your KineticHub purchase.

If the purchase is not visible in your account, confirm that you signed in using the email address used during checkout.

Next step

KineticHub PRO is now installed.

Continue with Activate Your KineticHub PRO License to connect the website to your license and enable premium updates and PRO functionality.
